The panel will synthesize many of the views discussed during the day’s prior presentations, with a focus, first, on the challenges in connection with crafting of agreements in a de-centralized ecosystem where traditional legal concepts such as “counter-parties”, “venue”, “principal place of business“ and many others have new (or perhaps little) meaning; and, second, on how the existing regulatory design must adapt to an accelerating change curve driven by concepts of decentralization which are foreign to an 80 year regulatory framework, and which itself was designed by individuals who were born in the 19th century prior to most American homes being electrified.
